Prof. Mira Markova, Dean of the Faculty of History at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski_, held a traditional informational meeting with prospective Master"s students at the university"s Burgas branch.
The event, held in the lecture hall of the NHC Cultural Center, brought together students from various age groups who expressed interest in the humanities specializations offered in the coastal city.
The hall was filled with anticipation " young people, many with serious expressions, attentively followed Professor Markova"s presentation.
Master"s Programs
The professor presented in detail the Master"s programs offered by the Faculty of History in Burgas for the 2025/2026 academic year. She answered numerous questions concerning both the content of the curricula and the prospects for professional realization after graduation.
Interest in the program this year is significantly higher compared to previous years.
The Faculty of History already has a successfully completed first cohort of Master"s graduates in the Burgas branch, trained in the "Antiquity and Middle Ages" program. This year, in addition to the traditional interest in this program, there is increased interest in "Modern Bulgaria: State and Society (late 19th"early 21st century)_. This underlines the relevance and importance of studying Bulgarian history in the contemporary context.

In Burgas, future Master"s students can choose from four programs:
- "Antiquity and Middle Ages"
- "Modern Bulgaria: State and Society (late 19th"early 21st century)"
- "Museology"
- "Digital Humanities" (with instruction in English)
