All of Bulgaria's needs for petroleum products are secured, said Rumen Spetsov, special commercial manager of “Lukoil” (Lukoil) in Bulgaria, during a meeting of the permanent parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy and Innovation.
Spetsov assured that the supply of crude oil is regular and predictable, and the financial condition of “Neftochim Burgas” has been stabilized, stating categorically that there is no risk of the country running out of fuel.
The meeting discussed the action plan of the special commercial manager of “Lukoil” in Bulgaria in accordance with Art. 27b, para. 6 of the Law on Administrative Regulation of Economic Activities Related to Oil and Petroleum Products.
Spetsov described the refinery in Burgas as a “true technological miracle” and one of the most modern in the world. He explained that although the refinery was initially designed to primarily process Urals crude oil, the engineering-chemical team currently manages to combine different types of crude oil.
“Engineers are working wonders to adapt the technological process to different types of raw materials,” he said.
Spetsov answered questions from members of parliament from various parliamentary groups during the meeting.
