Investing in the quality of Bulgarian rose oil

By the end of the year, the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA) will have a specialized laboratory for rose oil analysis. The decision comes after the Council of Ministers allocated 500,000 euros, announced Minister of Agriculture Plamen Abrovski.

"The goal is to guarantee to the world that Bulgarian rose oil is of proven origin and free of impurities," the minister emphasized.

Protecting national wealth

Minister Abrovski noted that Bulgaria is a world leader in the production of this unique essential oil. Back in June, during an international conference, he called for stricter European mechanisms for protecting authentic agricultural products, pointing to rose oil and honey as priority sectors for control.
