Historical recognition for Bulgarian culture in Nevada
The Mayor of Las Vegas, Nevada, Shelley Berkley, officially declared May 24 as "Bulgarian Cultural Heritage Day." The news was announced by the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Los Angeles, with the event taking place for the fourth consecutive year on the initiative of Consul General Boyko Hristov.
"The City of Las Vegas recognizes the significant contribution of the Bulgarian people to the Slavic world and European cultural heritage."
The proclamation was presented during the traditional Bulgarian festival organized by the "Bulgarian Society in Nevada." This year's celebration is particularly significant as the organization marks its 25th anniversary.
