A series of dramatic incidents marked the last 24 hours in the region. On July 1 around 02:05, officers from the Burgas gendarmerie stopped a light "Volkswagen Golf" car, driven by a 21-year-old local resident who was driving under the influence of cocaine. The driver was detained with a 24-hour arrest order.

A little later, around 09:20 on Georgi Popayanov Street, another 30-year-old driver was stopped for driving after using methamphetamine. Officers from the Fourth District Police Department seized his "Suzuki Swift" and detained him.

Another notable case was registered in Pomorie, where a 36-year-old local resident was caught with electronic cigarettes containing narcotic liquid and four pots with cannabis plants. The police seized the physical evidence and detained the offender.

A series of road incidents complemented the criminal statistics. On the Sozopol-Primorsko road, a 41-year-old driver in a "Nissan Leaf" hit a 27-year-old pedestrian, who was examined and released for home treatment. At another intersection, a "Toyota Corolla" car violated traffic rules, causing a collision with a "Citroen C3".

Especially dramatic was the incident on the Burgas-Varna road, where a 25-year-old woman from Sofia in a "Mercedes" lost control and entered the opposite lane, hitting a "Nissan Micra". Three people were injured, but without life-threatening conditions.

Another notable incident occurred in Sunny Beach, where a 23-year-old Polish citizen without a driver's license was operating a moped, during which his companion suffered a shoulder bone fracture.

The statistics of the Regional Police Directorate-Burgas show high activity of police officers in crime prevention and detection, with special emphasis placed on driving under the influence of alcohol and narcotic substances.

Official data underscore the need for constant control and increased public responsibility among traffic participants.
