Increased police security for high school graduates
The criminal police in Burgas are taking unprecedented security measures during the graduation celebrations at the Sunny Beach resort. Uniformed officers and plainclothes personnel will monitor the peace and safety of the celebrants.
"Undercover inspectors will monitor for the protection of property and prevent cases of theft," the Burgas Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior announced.
How will the graduates' belongings be protected?
The police are warning of an increase in cases of individuals posing as photographers in order to steal mobile devices and wallets left unattended. Here are the main tips for graduates:
- Do not leave phones and bags unattended on tables.
- Be vigilant for strangers in the venues.
- Report suspicious behavior immediately.
Strict road control
On May 24, the festive motorcades will be escorted by police along the entire route from Burgas to Sunny Beach. Extremely heavy traffic is expected, and control authorities will conduct checks for alcohol and drugs not only at night but also during the day.
Law enforcement officials urge graduates to act responsibly in order to make their celebration an unforgettable and safe experience.
