Nessebar police have uncovered a brazen theft of money and a bank card, committed in broad daylight in Sunny Beach. The victim of the crime is a 44-year-old Ukrainian citizen who is in the country under a temporary protection regime.

In the early hours of September 2, around 9:20 a.m., a report of a theft was filed from a hotel complex in the popular seaside resort. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, reported the disappearance of 280 euros and her bank card. With the money stolen from the Ukrainian citizen, another transaction was carried out. The investigation into the case began immediately.

A man with a criminal record has been detained

Criminal investigators from the Nessebar Regional Police Department quickly managed to track down the perpetrator. As a result of the intensive work, a 28-year-old man from Stara Zagora was identified and detained. It turned out that he has an extensive criminal record, and in the past, he has also been convicted.

During the interrogations, the man made a full confession regarding the committed theft. With a prosecutor_q_s decree, he has been charged and detained for up to 72 hours. This allows the investigators to gather more evidence and formalize the indictment.

The case once again raises questions about security in summer resorts and the vulnerability of foreign tourists, especially those who are in the country for humanitarian reasons. The investigation continues.
