Two new blood sample analysis laboratories go into operation
The Ministry of the Interior is taking decisive measures to address the delays in processing blood samples for alcohol and drugs. Two specialized laboratories are opening their doors in Plovdiv and Burgas, the ministry's press office announced.
"Our goal is to optimize the processing time for samples so that there are no unreasonable delays for drivers and the justice system," the Ministry of the Interior emphasized.

- Faster results: The new facilities will shorten the analysis time, which has been a serious administrative problem until now.
- Strategic location: The choice of Plovdiv and Burgas is dictated by the heavy traffic in these regions.
- Varna is next: The construction of a laboratory in Varna is also in an advanced stage.
Minister of the Interior Ivan Demerdzhiev will personally attend the opening of the laboratory in Plovdiv. This fulfills the promise to accelerate the processes, made as early as the end of June. Upon taking office, the minister found a report stating that the construction of such facilities would take 12 months, but with urgent orders, the deadlines were significantly shortened.
