Attention: Today is the deadline for submitting tax returns!

The tax campaign for declaring income received during 2025 ends today, April 30. It is important to note that for those using electronic services, the deadline expires at midnight, while for paper submissions at NRA offices, the deadline is 17:30.

This is the first tax campaign in euros following Bulgaria's accession to the eurozone.

With the introduction of the euro, a new rule appeared: although the values in the declarations are stated in leva, mandatory debts must be paid exclusively in euros.

Who must file a declaration?

The declaration is mandatory for the following groups of persons:

Important for traders: Sole traders and agricultural producers taxed under this procedure have until June 30, 2026, for income from their activity, but if they have other income (e.g., from rent), it must be declared by April 30.

The fastest way to submit

The easiest method is through the NRA Electronic Services Portal using a PIC or QES. Since March 10, citizens can also use the pre-filled declaration, which contains data provided by employers.
