We are glad that our proposal for changes to the Electoral Code (EC) was accepted, said the leader of "Vazrazhdane" Kostadin Kostadinov on bTV.

BTA reminds that yesterday the parliamentary legal commission adopted on first reading the bill of "Vazrazhdane" for changes to the Electoral Code, which regulates that in countries that are not members of the EU, up to 20 polling stations can be opened outside diplomatic and consular missions.

The commission's meeting began with disputes in the hall and a request to terminate it.

"One of the diseases of our modern sham democracy is that we are talking about fair elections here, and no one asks the question of whether the elections that our state holds in Turkey are fair," said Kostadinov. According to him, nearly 50,000 people voted there in the last elections, while in all other non-EU countries, not even 33,000 people voted.

Kostadinov said that the only countries affected by this restriction are the United Kingdom and the USA. But, if we add the polling stations in the consular services and embassies, and if we calculate what there is as electoral activity in the previous elections, we will see that there is no problem, he also said.

When asked if the Deputy Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank Andrey Gyurov is suitable for caretaker prime minister, Kostadinov replied that it is most logical to be Gyurov if we follow the political philosophy of the presidency at the moment. The leader of "Vazrazhdane" added that Gyurov is not connected to Delyan Peevski and is the only alternative.

Yesterday, Gyurov announced that he is ready to become a caretaker prime minister. I am ready to take responsibility if this happens with clear principles and without hidden conditions, he told journalists after his meeting with President Iliana Yotova in connection with the appointment of a caretaker cabinet.

"It is logical to ask ourselves why the appointment of a caretaker government is still being delayed. I see 100% something suspicious," said Kostadinov.

"The job of the caretaker government is to hold fair and free elections. In order for this to happen, the Ministry of Interior should do its job and not allow the large-scale purchase of votes," he added.
