In the last six days, the government has changed its position four times. This was stated to journalists by the leader of “Vazrazhdane” (Revival), Kostadin Kostadinov, regarding the convened Security Council at the Council of Ministers (CM) in connection with the situation in the Middle East. He pointed out that he was leaving the meeting early due to the funeral of the party's MP, Slavcho Krumov.

According to Kostadinov, initially government representatives said that there was nothing to worry about. Later, however, the Security Council was convened, to which representatives of the parliament were not invited, he pointed out. According to him, it was then announced that “more military aircraft, transport tankers, need to come.” Finally, six days later, a second Council is convened, in which we are already participating, Kostadinov pointed out.

I am extremely concerned about national security because I see in the cabinet a desire to mislead not only the citizens, but also us, who are much more familiar than the others with what is happening in the country and in the world, also stated the leader of “Vazrazhdane”. I have no guarantee that in the event of an escalation of military actions, the Bulgarian leadership will not throw us into a military adventure, commented Kostadinov.
