A container from the sunken ship CONTSHIP JET has washed up on Nestinarka beach in Tsarevo, witnesses said. They say it holds Christmas trees, probably meant for Christmas markets, and not dangerous cargo.
On Wednesday, 28 October, three sea drones hit the container ship off Shabla as it sailed from Haifa to Constanța. The ship sank, and all 18 crew members were rescued. Some of the 421 containers on board fell into the water.

The current carried them south along the Bulgarian coast. On Sunday, four were spotted east of Burgas Bay.
The container on Nestinarka is one of those that maritime authorities had warned were drifting in the area. For several days, they have been asking ships to take care, because the large metal containers are dangerous for vessels.
Reports of floating containers raise alarm because the ship was carrying lithium-ion batteries, flammable substances and chemicals.
