The Liberian-flagged container ship CONTSHIP JET was hit by sea drones off Cape Kaliakra. The crew left the ship on life rafts.
Minister Dimitar Stoyanov announced the attack in Sofia, where the defence ministers of Bulgaria, Turkey and Romania met today. "While this meeting was going on, a container ship in the adjacent sea was hit by 3 sea drones. It happened about 21 miles south-east of Shabla," he said.
A tanker has been sent to help the ship.
The container ship had left Haifa, Israel, and was heading for Constanta, Romania.
