A charity Christmas concert was held in Burgas by the National School of Music and Stage Arts “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov”, which for the second year in a row brought together students, teachers, and the audience around a strong social cause.
The talented young people supported with their work and skill “DownTown” - a unique project for Bulgaria for early intervention, social integration, and supported employment of those born with Down syndrome, which has been developing in our city since 2021 and is already enjoying great popularity.
Among the official guests of the event were the honorary consuls of Austria and South Korea - Dr. Radostina Ivanova-Mishineva and Yosif Spiridonov, as well as representatives of the municipal administration. Daniel Borisov, director of the Directorate “Healthcare, Prevention, and Social Activities”, specially thanked the team of the “DownTown” project for their inspiring mission.
The first row in front of the stage was occupied by the sunniest guests - the children and young people from the social project, who showed in a natural and sympathetic way what real social interaction means: when the music and voices of the performers lifted the mood in the hall, they danced spontaneously, without regard for scenarios, and the subsequent mutual hugs - their unique way of expressing love and gratitude - melted the audience.
The stage was filled with music and with a charge that turned the concert into a highly emotional experience, and the evening left a feeling of a truly positive and supportive community.
By organizing and preparing this event, the teachers and management of the National School of Music and Stage Arts in Burgas once again showed that they create not only an artistic environment, but also a space in which heart and talent are equivalent, and art becomes a beautiful human message.
