The payment of pensions for February 2026 through “Bulgarian Posts” will begin on February 9 (Monday) and will end on February 20 (Friday). This was announced by the National Social Security Institute (NSSI).
According to the Regulation on Pensions and Insurance Experience, post offices pay pensions and supplements to them in the period from the 7th to the 20th of the month to which they relate. When these dates are non-working days, the payment is made on the first working day after that.
The payment will be made according to a prepared schedule, which will be announced in each post office.
The transfers of the amounts for February pensions to the accounts of pensioners who receive their money by bank transfer will be made on February 9, 2026.
On February 3, all eligible persons will be paid cash benefits for pregnancy and childbirth, for raising a child up to 2 years of age and for the adoption of a child up to 5 years of age for the previous month of January.
The date for the payment of unemployment benefits this month is February 16 (Monday).
Since the beginning of the year, the Unified Portal for Electronic Services (UPES) of the NSSI is now a single point for providing administrative and reference services for cash benefits, assistance, pensions and guaranteed claims via the Internet.
