Interest in cooperation in the fields of banking, information technology, pharmaceuticals, mining, etc. was expressed by the Kazakh side at a meeting at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).
The establishment of a Kazakh-Bulgarian business council is forthcoming, it became known at the meeting.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Sofia, Viktor Temirbayev, visited BCCI and spoke with the Chairman of the Chamber, Tsvetan Simeonov. The meeting was also attended by Meirzhan Zhumadyla, attaché, and Arsen Abdrakhmanov, second secretary at the embassy, the BCCI announced in the latest issue of its online bulletin "Infobusiness".
The meeting was in connection with a signed Memorandum of Understanding between the International Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry during a bilateral economic forum in Astana in June last year with the participation of the presidents of the two countries - Rumen Radev (January 22, 2017 - January 23, 2026) and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The document contains a proposal to create a Kazakh-Bulgarian business council with the participation of entrepreneurs from both countries. To implement the details of the establishment of the business council, it was agreed that the embassy team and BCCI would join forces and start working together.
