Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets reported a successful large-scale mission to return children deported during the military conflict. The "Bring Kids Back UA" initiative continues to be a key mechanism for restoring family ties.

In the latest group, 11 minors aged between 10 and 17 years were returned. Among them is a 13-year-old girl who, after her mother's release from Russian captivity in April 2023, finally reunited with her family.

Especially emotional is the case of five children from one family who were initially taken out by a temporary guardian in the Russian Federation. Despite the loss of parental rights, the children managed to contact their older sister in Ukraine and express a desire to return.

The entire repatriation process involves extremely precise coordination between various institutions. The Ombudsman emphasized the importance of diplomatic efforts, specially thanking Qatar for supporting the operation.

Dmytro Lubinets firmly stated that the state will continue to work on returning all its citizens, prioritizing the interests of children and the integrity of families.

Statistics show that since the start of the full-scale Russian aggression, a total of 1,453 Ukrainian children have managed to return home, which represents a significant humanitarian success.
