Road Tragedy: New Victims in Accidents
Over the past 24 hours, the country has awakened to more grim statistics. According to official data from the Ministry of the Interior, 25 serious traffic accidents have been registered in the last 24 hours, in which three people lost their lives and another 29 sustained injuries of varying severity.
"Road safety remains a critical priority. We urge drivers to exercise increased caution and adhere to traffic rules," law enforcement authorities appeal.
The Situation in Sofia
The capital is not exempt from this alarming trend. The Sofia Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior reports:
- 29 minor traffic accidents;
- 5 serious accidents with 5 injured (no danger to life);
- One deceased road user, reported in addition to a previous period.
Statistics for July
Since the beginning of the month, data shows exceptionally heavy and dangerous traffic. From July 1st to date, a total of 355 accidents have been recorded, which have resulted in:
- 24 fatalities;
- 440 injured.
Experts advise drivers to plan their trips more carefully and avoid driving while fatigued or under the influence of alcohol.
