A truck carrying tires caught fire early this morning on the Sofia – Burgas road, in the Gurkovo area. The driver managed to unhitch the tractor from the burning trailer in time, preventing greater damage.
Three fire crews extinguished the smoldering cargo for hours. An inspection is forthcoming to determine the causes of the incident.
Traffic has already been restored, but is being carried out with increased caution, as there are still police and a fire department team at the scene.
