Incident on Trakia Motorway causes kilometers-long queues
A truck caught fire on the Trakia Motorway near the 88th kilometer. The incident occurred in the lane towards Burgas, reported the spokesperson of the Pazardzhik Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior, Miroslav Stoyanov.
Currently, there are no reports of people injured in the fire.
Traffic in the area is temporarily suspended, and Traffic Police teams along with two emergency rescue teams from the fire department are working on-site. Drivers are being diverted as follows:
- Traffic is being diverted at the junction for the village of Dinka.
- A kilometers-long line of vehicles has formed in the lane up to the turn-off for Pazardzhik.
Travelers on the route are urged to drive with caution and follow the instructions of the police officers.
