A car driver has "boasted" on social media that they were driving at over 220 km/h on the "Trakia" motorway, reports "Focus". The footage, which is believed to have been filmed this morning, sparked numerous reactions due to the dangerous behavior on the road.

The maximum allowed speed on the "Trakia" motorway is 140 km/h, but data from "Traffic Police" checks show that speeding violations remain common. During the summer season, they increase even more due to the increased traffic toward the Black Sea coast.

It is precisely in this period that heavy traffic, frequent overtaking, and high speeds significantly increase the risk of serious road accidents. According to traffic police data, the "Trakia" motorway is among the roads with the highest number of severe accidents, and inappropriate and excessive speed continue to be among the main causes of fatal incidents on the country's motorways.
