The payment of pensions in December this year through post offices starts today and will end on December 19 (Friday). The transfers of the amounts for the December pensions to the accounts of pensioners who receive their money by bank transfer will be made today.
The dates for the payment of pensions are exceptional, as by a decision of the Council of Ministers of November 19 of this year, December 31, 2025, and January 2, 2026, are declared non-working days on a one-off basis.
Along with the December pensions, Christmas bonuses in the amount of 120 leva will also be paid to all those entitled. The one-off sum to pensions will be received by pensioners whose pension or the sum of pensions, together with the bonuses and compensations to them for December 2025, is in the amount of up to 638 BGN inclusive. About 536 thousand people are entitled to this bonus.
The date for the payment of unemployment benefits this month is December 15 (Monday).

Every fourth pensioner will receive Christmas bonuses for the upcoming holidays, announced the Minister of Labor and Social Policy Borislav Gutsanov. 120 BGN are granted for the elderly who receive pensions and bonuses up to the poverty line of 638 BGN, inclusive.
