The Deputy Chairman of the parliamentary group of "There Is Such a People" (ITN), Stanislav Balabanov, announced the party's desire to introduce machine voting with scanning devices. These devices should replace the current machines and be integrated into the polling stations.
Balabanov emphasized that the need for a change in the Electoral Code is being imposed on society and expects support from all those who want machine voting.
ITN plans to work to remove the so-called "dead souls" from the electoral lists. Balabanov noted that the draft amendment to the Electoral Code is almost ready for a second reading.
He assured that there is enough time to purchase new scanning machines and to change the electoral lists. He added that comments had been collected over eight months.
ITN is ready, if necessary, to rent and gradually purchase scanning devices. The amount for these changes will be announced during the debates.
When asked if ITN is ready to receive the third mandate to form a government, Balabanov replied that they will most likely return it.
