Amusement ride accident during the fair in Antonovo
A serious accident occurred during the traditional fair in the town of Antonovo, where a father and his child were injured after falling from an amusement ride. The case has been confirmed by Mayor Hayredin Mehmedov and the police in Targovishte.
According to initial information, the 42-year-old man and the 9-year-old child fell from a height of about 2 meters after a metal pipe holding the seat of the ride snapped.
Condition of the victims
Emergency medical teams and the fire department arrived immediately at the scene and transported the victims to the hospital in Targovishte:
- The father: Admitted to the surgery ward with a rib fracture.
- The child: Admitted to the Department of Anesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Care.
According to doctors, there is currently no direct threat to the lives of the two victims. The ride has been taken out of operation, and a pre-trial proceeding has been initiated by the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Targovishte.
