Fire on a passenger train at Tserkovski station
A serious incident shook railway transport today. The locomotive of the passenger train on the Karlovo – Burgas line caught fire shortly after 16:19, while the train was at Tserkovski station.
According to police information, all passengers were promptly evacuated to the platform. Fortunately, there were no injuries in the incident.
Bringing the situation under control
Despite the efforts of the train crew, they were unable to detach the locomotive from the carriages in time. Teams from the Karnobat Regional Police Department and the fire department arrived immediately at the scene and are working hard to fully bring the fire under control.
