President Iliana Yotova appealed not to introduce additional fears and doubts in people about whether they should or should not participate in the elections on April 19. In the building of “Dondukov“ 2, the head of state met with those responsible for holding the early parliamentary elections institutions.

Yotova thanked the institutions responsible for the elections for realizing how important the well-done work is for Bulgarian citizens to be convinced that this time the efforts of all are directed towards having normal elections and a transparent process. "Let's be a guarantee that every Bulgarian citizen does not doubt that his vote is counted incorrectly, let's stimulate even more civic activity on election day," the president said. I wish you more strength and courage, because there is work that needs to be done in the days before the elections, the head of state added.

"Let's try to convince Bulgarian citizens that we have taken all necessary measures to limit abuses and that we have created a well-prepared election administration, so that it can cope with the complex protocol," the president also appealed.

Yotova asked the chairman of the Central Election Commission, Kamelia Neykova, whether upcoming celebrations of historical events should be part of the pre-election campaign, and Neykova replied that such events should not be used for campaigning.

When forming the caretaker cabinet, we stated that we would be an open door for all signals and I reserve my right and that of our administration to inform you about the signals that come to us, so that they can be cleaned up in a timely manner, said Iliana Yotova to those present.

Members of the Central Election Commission, the caretaker Minister of Electronic Governance Georgi Sharkov, the caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Nadezhda Neynski, the Deputy Minister of Interior Ivan Anchev, the executive director of “Information Services“ Ivaylo Filipov and Ventsislav Hristov from the General Directorate "Civil Registration and Administrative Service" participated in the meeting.
