The Mirage Hotel in Burgas has reopened after a major renovation, under new management, the hotel says. It has updated 72 rooms along with the lobby and common areas, kept its four-star rating, and can now host more than 140 guests.
The new team wants to draw business travellers, conferences and weddings. The restaurant has an entirely new kitchen, built around a Mediterranean style using Bulgarian produce and a modern take on traditional dishes. It aims to win over diners from the city itself, not just hotel guests.
For events, the hotel has a large conference hall and a separate VIP hall on the panoramic floor. Rooms, restaurant, business halls and parking all sit in one place, with direct access to the main roads. The team says this combination sets the hotel apart from most others in Burgas.
The halls won't just sit empty — they'll be part of the hotel's daily life, management says. The hotel will target companies, event organisers, professional groups and local businesses. The idea is for the building to run non-stop through the day: breakfast and business meetings in the morning, conferences during the day, then the restaurant and meeting space in the evening.
The team says a full-service, year-round city hotel makes sense given Burgas' active economy, its sports calendar and its growing events scene. Management says the Mirage should once again be the natural choice for business meetings, conferences, training sessions, formal dinners, family celebrations, weddings and corporate events.
In this new phase, the team is focused on quality, a modern city and business setting, and personal attention to guests. The building keeps its identity, but what's behind the façade is changing, management says. Their work now covers the whole stay — from walking into the lobby, to checking in, dining, business meetings and free time, including the view over the city, the sea and the bay.
Investment will continue after this renovation. More rooms and common areas will be updated in stages, along with new sports, relaxation and wellness areas, plus new services. The hotel also plans to grow its conference and events business and build stronger ties with local businesses, the tourism sector, and cultural and sports organisations.
The tall building's silhouette has been part of the Burgas skyline for about two decades. Its façade was recently cleaned by drones from Smart Verse Group EOOD and G.I. Trade EOOD, a sight that caught the eye of passers-by in recent days.
