Google Messages Now Allows Deleting Sent Messages for All Participants
Google has announced the introduction of a new and anticipated feature in the Messages app – the ability to cancel already sent messages. For years, users have wanted additional control over their communication, and the new feature is now available to everyone with the latest version of the app.
The integration of the RCS (Rich Communication Services) protocol allows Google Messages not only to remove messages from your screen but also from the screen of the person you sent them to. By pressing and holding a sent message, the trash icon allows a choice between "Delete for Everyone" and "Delete for Me" – providing a new level of control and peace of mind for users.
Although similar functionality exists on other messaging platforms, its appearance in Messages marks a significant advancement for Google. The company continues to work on equalizing and upgrading the capabilities of its app, turning it into a more competitive and feature-rich communication platform.
