11 fire crews are extinguishing a large-scale fire between Parvomay and the village of Bryagovo. The road is closed, there is no danger to residential areas. See the latest information.

Large-scale firefighting operation near Parvomay

A total of 11 fire brigades are battling a large fire between Parvomay and the village of Bryagovo, reported the Regional Directorate for Fire Safety and Protection of the Population – Plovdiv. The fire broke out in the early afternoon, with the situation being complicated by strong winds and high temperatures.

According to initial reports from local residents, the fire started from an excavator that was working in the field.

Traffic restrictions and security measures

At the moment, there is no danger to populated areas, although the wind is shifting the front toward the villages of Poroyna and Dalbok Izvor. Firefighters are continuing their work to contain the fire, which has primarily affected non-forest areas and abandoned vineyards.
