In the early hours of the day near Malko Tarnovo, a dramatic incident occurred that otherwise could have ended in an even greater tragedy. Border police officer Ivelin Arabadzhiev demonstrated exceptional courage and professionalism, saving human lives during an accident involving a bus with Ukrainian registration.

Chronicle of the Incident: From Traffic Stop to Crash

Everything began around 6:35 AM, when Arabadzhiev received a signal regarding a stopped bus obstructing traffic on the road. Upon arriving at the scene, the officer found that the vehicle had run out of fuel and the drivers were attempting to refuel it using canisters.

A Fight for Every Life

Inside the bus were 39 people — 36 passengers, two drivers, and one steward. The interior was filled with injured and frightened people. Arabadzhiev immediately sought reinforcement and began pulling the passengers out one by one, fighting to save every life.

Thanks to his rapid reaction and the arrival of his colleagues from the Malko Tarnovo District Department, most people were brought to a safe distance. Unfortunately, two of the passengers lost their lives, and nine people were transported for emergency medical treatment in Burgas.
