Solemn celebration of St. George's Day in Burgas
On St. George's Day, Burgas bowed to the memory of Bulgarian soldiers. With a solemn ritual of laying wreaths and flowers at the Monument to the 24th Black Sea Infantry Regiment, citizens and officials paid tribute to the heroism and self-sacrifice of the heroes.
"Gratitude to those who gave their lives for the freedom and honor of Bulgaria," the attendees stated.
The ceremony was attended by:
- Mayor Dimitar Nikolov and representatives of the municipal administration;
- Regional Governor Dobromir Gyulev;
- Representatives of state institutions and the Ministry of Interior;
- Veterans and reserve officers.
Festive folklore program
The holiday continues with a rich cultural program for residents and guests of the city. From 12:30 PM at Atanas Sirekov Square, a concert by the Professional Folklore Ensemble "Dobrudzha" will take place. Traditional songs, dances, and horos will immerse the audience in the magic of Bulgarian folklore.
Burgas Municipality invites all citizens to share the festive mood and enjoy the performances of the professional artists.
