In an emotional gesture of solidarity and diplomatic support, Bulgaria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Georg Georgiev, extended official congratulations to the Ukrainian people on the occasion of their 34th Independence Day. The message, which quickly drew attention, was published on the social network "X", where Minister Georgiev shared a warm message on behalf of the Bulgarian nation.

"On behalf of the Bulgarian people, I congratulate our friends from Ukraine on the occasion of the 34th Independence Day", the post reads, which emphasizes the deep historical connection and friendship between the two countries. The message, which also carries emotional weight, was accompanied by the minister's official profile, @gdgueorguiev, as well as the national flags of the two countries, symbolizing their unity.

This act of diplomacy comes against the backdrop of ongoing Russian aggression, which adds extra weight to the support expressed. As Ukraine fights for its sovereignty and territorial integrity, such messages from European partners are crucial for the morale of the nation and demonstrate the unity of the international community against attempts to undermine international law and the established world order.

Earlier in the day, in the heart of the Ukrainian capital, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy delivered a powerful message to his people, choosing the symbolic location of "Independence" Square, also known as Maidan Nezalezhnosti. From there, where the history of Ukrainian resistance is deeply rooted, the head of state delivered his speech, emphasizing that "every symbol of this place speaks of the country's independence". His speech to the crowd of thousands gathered on the square was full of dignity and determination, and the atmosphere was solemn and palpably filled with pride. The choice of Maidan Nezalezhnosti, the epicenter of two of the most important moments in Ukraine's recent history, was no coincidence. It is a symbol of the struggle for freedom and democracy, which are embedded in the foundations of the independent Ukrainian state.

The greetings of Bulgarian Minister Georgiev are part of the general European and international framework of support for Ukraine, confirming Bulgaria's commitment to the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and peaceful coexistence between nations.
