In a joint operation by the General Directorate “Combating Organized Crime” (GDBOP) and the State Agency “National Security” (DANS), significant quantities of drugs were seized, announced the acting Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Commissioner Georgi Kandev, in a Facebook post.
According to him, nearly 180 kilograms of marijuana, over 10 kilograms of cocaine, 47 kilograms of amphetamines, three kilograms of ecstasy, and almost one kilogram of methamphetamine were seized.
At another address, connected to the same group, a combat pistol and ammunition were discovered, Kandev also pointed out.
He added that details of the case are expected from GDBOP.
In another case at the end of February, GDBOP officers in Varna arrested 11 people for 24 hours during a specialized operation against the distribution of drugs in the city.
