Folklore Fiesta in Burgas: A Celebration of Professional Art

Burgas becomes the center of Bulgarian folklore from March 20th to 29th, 2026, with a festival of professional dance and music ensembles. Nine evenings of concerts at the Burgas State Opera, featuring leading ensembles and groups.

From March 20 to 29 in Burgas, the large-scale event “Professional Folklore Music and Dance Arts Festivals” will be held.

The city will host the festival, which brings together the best professional folklore ensembles from all over the country. The event will be held at the Burgas State Opera.

The program includes: NFA “Philip Kutev”, Folk Music Orchestra of BNR, FA “Trakia”, FA “Pirin”, ANPT “Pazardzhik”, FA “Rodopa”, OFA “Zagore”, ANPT “Sliven”, FA “Tundzha”, ANPT “Dunav”, SANPT “Ivan Valev”, “Kapanski Ensemble”, PFA “Miziya”, PFA “Dobrudzha”, PFA “Stranja”, as well as student folklore ensembles from NMA, AMTI, YZU and VSU.

Within the framework of the festival, each ensemble will present their best performances within 60 minutes. The organizers also plan discussions on the artistic value of the presented programs.

The event is supported by Burgas Municipality and under the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan.
