Torchlight Procession in Burgas Marks 150 Years Since the April Uprising

On April 20th, Burgas will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the April Uprising with a torchlight procession, involving over 260 students from 12 schools. The event, organized by the Municipality of Burgas, aims to foster patriotism and historical memory.

On April 20th, Burgas will host a large-scale torchlight procession dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the April Uprising. Over 260 students from 12 Burgas schools will participate in the event, organized by the Municipality of Burgas.

The procession will begin after 8:00 PM from the Compass on "Alexandrovska" street and will pass along the central pedestrian streets "Alexandrovska" and "Aleko Bogoridi" to reach the terrace in the Sea Garden. There, the participants will lay wreaths and flowers at the monuments of Bulgarian revolutionaries and revival figures.

The torchlight procession aims to pay tribute to the heroes and to instill in young people a sense of patriotism and respect for national values. The Municipality of Burgas invites all citizens and guests of the city to join the event.
