European Shooting Championship in Burgas: 332 Medals for Youth, Juniors, and Girls

Burgas is hosting the European Shooting Championship for youth, juniors, and girls, which will run from February 4th to 14th. Around 800 participants from 40 countries will compete for 332 medals. Admission is free.

A total of 332 medals will be awarded during the European Shooting Championship for Youth, Juniors and Girls in Burgas. The awards are specially made for the championship of the Old Continent in our country. On the front side are depicted a target, sea waves and a shevitsa, symbolizing shooting sports, Burgas and Bulgaria, respectively, and on the back is recreated the logo of the European Shooting Confederation.

The official opening will take place on February 3rd at 6:30 PM. The competition days are from February 4th to 14th, and admission for spectators is free. About 800 participants from nearly 40 countries are coming to Bulgaria for the European Championship, and the scale of the event is really serious, as the European champions will be announced for both the youth and the age groups up to 18 and up to 16 years old. 

A total of 54 finals (27 for air rifle and 27 for air pistol) will be held during the large-scale event - for youth (men and women), juniors and girls up to 18 years old and juniors and girls up to 16 years old. Only in the four competitions for duets (air rifle and air pistol) up to 16 and up to 18 years old are two third places awarded. Thus, in the "Arena Burgas" a total of 108 gold, 108 silver and 116 bronze medals will be awarded.

The championship of the Old Continent is organized by the Bulgarian Shooting Union and the European Shooting Confederation. Bulgaria is hosting a European Shooting Championship for the first time in 30 years.
