The European Union officially approves another initiative to raise public awareness of environmental challenges. On July 15, the second national commemoration of victims of climate disasters will be held, which was legalized through a joint declaration by leading European institutions on July 13, 2023.
The ceremony aims not only to honor the deceased but also to emphasize the need for urgent action in the field of climate resilience. An official event is planned in Brussels, which will be held in front of the Berlaymont building in 2025.
Among the participants will be high-ranking representatives of European institutions, as well as activists from civil organizations who will present specific calls for prevention and protection from extreme meteorological events.
