The European Union is discussing a 21st package of sanctions against Russia. Bulgaria supports the measures but opposes the inclusion of Patriarch Kirill, Vagit Alekperov, and a metro supplier.

EU discusses 21st package of sanctions against Russia

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas announced that intensive negotiations are underway in Brussels to expand the sanctions list. However, there is still no complete consensus among member states regarding all 250 items.

"Today we hope to agree on all 250 items. We are working on the 21st package of sanctions, for which we do not yet have an agreement," Kallas stated.
