Two drunk drivers caused accidents in the Burgas region over the weekend. The incidents were reported on Friday and Saturday, according to the Burgas Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior.
The first case occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Friday on "23-ti septemvri" St. in Kosharitsa. A Land Rover driven by a 38-year-old man from Sliven struck both curbs of the road in succession. During a breathalyzer test, law enforcement officers recorded a blood alcohol level of 1.90 per mille.
A second incident was reported around 10:20 p.m. on Saturday near block 48 in the "Lazur" residential complex in Burgas. The driver of a Mercedes caused a crash and fled the scene. Police determined that the driver was a 30-year-old woman from Burgas. Upon testing for alcohol use, the breathalyzer registered 2.42 per mille.
