The Ministry of Agriculture and Food (MAF) managed to negotiate an extraordinary financial reinforcement of 30,000,000 euros within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP). The additional funds are the result of targeted negotiations with European Commission experts and will be directed towards the "Investments in Technological and Ecological Modernization" procedure.
The financial increase stems from the reallocation of funds initially intended for the "Efficient Water Management in Agricultural Farms" direction. The new resources will allow financing of some project proposals that are currently on the reserve list.
A key point in the negotiations is also the achieved extension of the deadline for implementing contracts under the Recovery Plan - set maximally until March 31, 2026. In the next four weeks, the Council of the European Union is expected to review and officially approve the European Commission's assessment.
As a next step, the Ministry will publish an amendment to the Application Guidelines, which will be subjected to public discussion. In parallel, the State Fund "Agriculture" will send notification letters to potential beneficiaries to prepare the necessary documents.
The final signing of contracts will be carried out after the official confirmation of changes by the Minister of Agriculture and Food and the completion of public consultations. The process ensures transparency and legality in the distribution of European funds.
