The prestigious documentary production "2000 Meters to Andriivka" by director Mstislav Chernov reveals an authentic account of military actions in occupied Ukrainian territories. The film follows a journalistic mission of two reporters - Chernov and Alex Babenko, who accompany a Ukrainian combat unit during an operation to liberate a village from Russian occupiers.
The project, which premiered at the prestigious Sundance film festival in January, will receive widespread distribution in the United States. From July 25, the film will be available through PBS Distribution, with a planned television broadcast on the Frontline channel in December 2025.
The documentary provides an extremely emotional and objective view of the war, combining frontline journalism with a deeply human narrative. Through its storytelling technique, the film reveals stories of devastation, heroism, and indomitable spirit among Ukrainian defenders.
