BURGAS – In a solemn ceremony filled with gratitude, the Regional Administration in Burgas honored a local volunteer for his exceptional help in containing the massive fire that raged in Sungurlare municipality for almost a week this month. Thirty-two-year-old Tsvetan Pavlov was recognized with a certificate of appreciation and a plaque, personally presented by the regional governor, Vladimir Krumov, in a sign of recognition for his bravery and irreplaceable contribution.
The atmosphere in the hall was solemn yet charged with emotion, as officials and representatives of the fire service expressed their respect for the young man. The recognition for Pavlov comes after a number of firefighters from the services in Burgas and neighboring regions reached out to the Regional Administration, insisting that the young man be honored as a role model. The team of regional governor Krumov specified that in recent days, numerous videos documenting Pavlov's help in the fight against the fire, accompanied by categorical requests for his award, have been received in the communication channels of the institution.
The Importance of Local Knowledge
The administration's press center pointed out that Tsvetan Pavlov's knowledge of the terrain proved to be of key importance in the unequal battle against the fire. Born and raised in Sungurlare, where he lives and works, Pavlov knows "every nook and cranny of the forests", which allowed him to become an irreplaceable assistant to the fire department's leadership. Thanks to his guidance and local knowledge, the teams were able to navigate the difficult terrain more effectively and concentrate their efforts in the most critical areas.
We must talk about Tsetso. When we pay more attention to good examples and less to bad ones, then the younger generations will have someone to emulate. It is up to all of us what kind of image we will leave them.
Senior Commissioner Nikolay Nikolaev, Director of the Regional Directorate "Fire Safety and Population Protection" - Burgas, also attended the ceremony, emphasizing the importance of such examples. Regional Governor Vladimir Krumov joined him, also expressing his deep respect for the volunteer.
If we can talk about something positive in the difficult situation this summer, it's people like Tsvetan – people who set an example with their courage and humanity. Our society needs exactly such examples.
