European diplomatic circles reveal a detailed strategy for potential relaxation of economic restrictions against the Russian Federation upon achieving full ceasefire in the Ukrainian conflict. The information was disclosed by leading media channels, including Sky News, citing high-ranking sources from the European Union.

The proposed mechanism includes several key stages: initial preservation of the sanctions regime during the first fifteen days of a potential ceasefire, followed by gradual easing with strict adherence to agreed conditions. There is a categorical agreement for immediate restoration of restrictions with the slightest violation.

The Italian Foreign Ministry is extremely active in the negotiation process. Their representatives insist on direct involvement of European countries in diplomatic consultations between the US and Russia. Specifically, during the upcoming video conference, lobbying will be done for President Donald Trump to guarantee European participation in negotiations with Vladimir Putin.

Allied states emphasize the need for comprehensive guarantees – military, economic, and political – that would ensure stability and security for Ukraine. The diplomatic approach aims to achieve lasting peace through balanced and predictable diplomatic mechanisms.
