In a symbolic dialogue, representatives of the Bulgarian environmental agency and the diplomatic corps of Serbia outlined strategic guidelines for future partnership. Minister Manol Genov welcomed H.E. Milan Ravich during his first official visit after taking up his diplomatic mission in March.

The conversation covered a wide range of mutually significant environmental issues, with both sides emphasizing their traditionally good relations. The focus was placed on specific areas such as water resource protection and biodiversity, which require joint efforts.

A key moment in the discussion was the European perspective of the Western Balkans. The Bulgarian side demonstrated readiness to provide expert support to Serbia in the complex process of negotiations regarding the environmental standards of the European Union.

Genov recalled the importance of the topic, launched during the Bulgarian presidency of the EU Council, emphasizing the strategic importance of regional integration and environmental diplomacy.
