The Ministry of Innovation and Growth initiated a large-scale discussion about euro introduction, which revealed optimistic perspectives for the national economic strategy. At the center of the event was the presentation of the artificial intelligence MIR@, designed to improve communication between government administration, citizens, and business environments.
Tomislav Donchev categorically rejected doubts about risks in the monetary transformation, defining the euro as a powerful accelerator of economic growth. According to him, the transition to a new currency is associated with overcoming many social prejudices.
The Vice Prime Minister emphasized that complex public systems are built on the foundation of trust. As an eloquent example, he pointed to the German mark, which in the 90s effectively functioned as a second official currency in Eastern Europe due to its exceptional authority.
Financial analyst Yonko Chuklev added an expert perspective, emphasizing the euro's potential to attract foreign investments and highly qualified specialists. He predicts that by 2030, Bulgaria will achieve an average European economic level.
Donchev stressed that modern democracies face serious challenges - a deteriorated security environment, social fragmentation, and environmental problems. In this context, adopting the euro is a stabilizing factor that can consolidate social processes.
The information campaign, organized jointly by the Ministry of Finance and the Bulgarian National Bank, aims to prepare the public for the monetary transformation planned for January 1, 2026.
The presentation of the artificial intelligence MIR@ demonstrates the Bulgarian administration's readiness to implement innovative technological solutions that improve communication and efficiency of government institutions.
