Children's Hospital in Burgas Plans New Diagnostic Center

The director of MBALDB "Svetа Anastasiya" proposed creating a diagnostic and consultation center with 10 beds for child observation in Burgas.

At its meeting on Monday, September 21, the Burgas Municipal Council will consider a report regarding the establishment of a diagnostic and consultation center (DCC) at the MBALD "St. Anastasia". The initiative to expand the activities of the children's hospital was proposed by its director, Dr. Blagomir Zdravkov.

The primary argument for creating the new center is the high demand for preventive examinations at the medical facility. To date, over 850 children have undergone these check-ups, and approximately 800 more have scheduled appointments. Dr. Zdravkov emphasizes that this expansion will create new opportunities for medical staff specialization.

Should the selection process for a manager conclude, it is proposed that DCC "St. Anastasia" EOOD be managed and represented by Dr. Zlatin Penev, a physician specializing in "Orthopedics and Traumatology".

The new unit will provide specialized outpatient care across multiple disciplines and will feature an outpatient clinic for consultations, prevention, rehabilitation, treatment, diagnostics, and the prescribing of laboratory and other tests. The plan also includes equipping the center with up to 10 beds, which will allow for patient observation and treatment for up to 48 hours, if necessary.
