Kameno will open a municipal centre for creative activities and learning for children, school pupils and young people in its old school building, mayor Zhelyo Vardunski told a regular meeting of the municipal council. Councillors voted unanimously to approve the rules on how the centre is organised and run.
Workers are finishing the last repairs at 1A Dimitar Blagoev Street. The centre will open very soon, but no date has been given.
It will offer classes for children aged 0 to 3, art workshops, hobby groups, interest clubs and sports. Children with special educational needs will have a separate space where specialists will work.
A second cash machine has been installed in Kameno, in the chitalishte (community cultural centre) building, the municipality said. Until recently the town had only one, so people will be able to withdraw cash in one more place.
Vardunski expects the cash machine to start working next week. The municipality says it will happen in the next few days, once the machine has been serviced and loaded with cash.
The room for the cash machine is owned by the municipality. It was rented out at an auction on 23 September.
