Child suffers facial injuries after dog attack in Kazanlak region

A six-year-old child was attacked by a dog in the village of Kanchevo. The girl has been admitted to St. George Hospital in Plovdiv in stable condition and is awaiting surgical procedures.

Incident involving a child in the village of Kanchevo

A six-year-old child was seriously injured following a dog attack in the village of Kanchevo, near Kazanlak. The girl's condition is currently stable, the press center of the St. George University Hospital in Plovdiv told BTA.

The child has injuries to the face area, and medical interventions are forthcoming, the medical facility added.

Details about the case

The child was initially transported to a hospital in Stara Zagora, after which she was moved to Plovdiv for specialized care. The police in Stara Zagora confirmed that pre-trial proceedings have been initiated regarding the case.
