In late November 2025, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) conducted a specialized operation investigating a scheme for real estate fraud and money laundering connected to the "Historical Park" attraction complex near Varna. Seven people were detained in the case, and the Sofia City Court remanded all defendants in custody.

According to the prosecution, this involves an organized criminal group charged with embezzlement, fraud, and money laundering. The investigation covers a period cited by the prosecution as 2013–2025, with activities spanning Sofia, Varna, and other parts of the country. Data from the investigation indicates a detected transfer of 21 million BGN to an account belonging to one of the defendants.

The case was opened following media reports and reports from members of parliament regarding a financial pyramid scheme that led to losses for investors who purchased shares in "Historical Park" in exchange for promises of real estate. According to estimates cited in investigations, the affected investors hold investments totaling tens of millions of BGN.

The leader of the "Velichie" party, Ivelin Mihaylov, has been named by the prosecution as part of the group, but he was not detained; his home was searched. All claims presented here are allegations by the prosecution — the presumption of innocence applies until a final verdict is reached.
