Working visit of the Ministry of Interior to the USA

A delegation of the Ministry of Interior (MoI), led by caretaker minister Emil Dechev, is on an official visit to the United States. The delegation includes Chief Commissioner Georgi Kandev, Deputy Minister Ivan Anchev, and the Head of the Political Cabinet Ivelina Dundakova.

The focus of the discussions is aimed at strengthening operational cooperation, border security, and fulfilling the criteria for visa-free travel.

Key highlights of the discussions:

Upcoming meetings at the U.S. Department of State will address issues related to international law enforcement, the fight against drug trafficking, and consular relations. The delegation has already held successful meetings with representatives of the Bulgarian-American Police Association.
